Hi, I'm lookin for a small repair kit to fill in a small hole in the
base of a surfboard. What would be the best product you have for this? A. Listed on our Composite Supplies store is the Surfboard repair kit. It has all that is needed for quick repairs. Q. I am going to fibreglass a box made out of plywood and going to fibreglass it to my boat. I want to cover both the inside & outside. The ply sheet was 1200 x 2400. What materials do I need? A. The materials required are governed by the sq. area. You said it was made from 2400 x 1200 ply. The area of that is 2.88 sq. mtrs. So, you are covering both sides (inside & outside), total surface area being covered is then 5.76 sq. mtrs. Please now go to material description and usage page on our Composite Supplies site. Q. Do you paint a top coat over the flow coat, or is the flow coat the finished surface? A. The flow coat is the top coat of finish coat. Q. What would you suggest to use, to level an uneven fibreglass surface with big sanding marks in the surface? A. Gelcoat Putty can take out marks or dints in the surface. It is available from our 'on line' shop. |
